Garage Conversions
Converting a garage is one of the easiest ways of getting extra space in your home, without adding an entire room. By taking care of waterproofing, opening up windows and bringing up a wall, you can convert your garage into a bedroom or family room. Remember, that a garage conversion will include electric and plumbing work, and installation of heating and cooling systems. You can also create additional storage space to continue using your garage to hold seasonal items and materials, household and gardening tools etc.

A larger kitchen will need heavy duty appliances, like a freezer and therefore, may need additional wiring.
Before beginning your garage addition project, make sure you have all necessary Los Angeles, CA area building permits in place. Some areas may not allow garages to be used for certain purposes. If there are emergency exit requirements, these will have to be met too. Take care of such legal or structural formalities before you begin your garage conversion project.

We own an old home (1942) near downtown / heights area, around 1110 sq. ft. We have plenty of room on our lot to add a master suite in the place of our second driveway, we would also like to add on the utility to have it inside the home instead of out in the garage. I have plans drawn up but need blueprints done, I am an interior designer so I have a pretty good idea of what I want but am definitely open to idea's / changes. We are excited about making this addition to our home sometime in the next year, we'll have to before we have a second child. I am buying a house and need the garage remodeled. It is a 2 door garage made from brick and stone and I need a door put in on the side and a dividing wall inside with a door. I want to be able to still open the existing door.
